Research is of the greatest importance to Marseille-Kliniken AG. A health service provider cannot survive in the long run not being able to keep pace with - or better still, play a leading role in - medical research and development.
More than ever a scientific foundation of nursing care for the elderly is very much needed. Very often it is not yet very sophisticated, and the implementation of scientific findings into practical achievements is still the exception in this area. In the coming years universities should do thorough scientific research and provide useful results in this area. Marseille-Kliniken AG wishes to make its contribution by providing financial support to appropriate research projects.
Research in the area of rehabilitation has a fairly long tradition. In this area as well, Karlsruher-Sanatorium-AG, has played a pioneering role. Beginning in the middle of the Eighties, eqs.-Institut carried out a number of evaluations, the so-called “Zauberberg-Studien”, specifically for indications in the fields of psychosomatic rehabilitation. These studies count among the first nation-wide evaluations in this field, and they were carried out in cooperation with several universities.
Research results must be given special priority, since they provide the basis for new treatments and facility concepts, and finally providing benefits to our residents and patients. |
