The Frankfurter Allgemeine newspaper wrote about Marseille-Kliniken AG and its planned investments in the upscale sector on 28/07/2008 under the title “The Goal Is Better Nursing Quality”:
“The reputation of the whole industry is not necessarily the best, because of sometimes lacking or weak nursing quality in many elderly care establishments, as Axel Hölzer, the Chairman of the Board of the company, says in conversation. Therefore, the Group has long been calling for a ‘TÜV-style’ certification body for nursing. In his words, outside of Marseille-Kliniken, only two regional establishments have previously produced comparable reports.”
The text goes on to say:
“Marseille-Kliniken will mainly invest in the upscale sector over the next few years, i.e. 4-star establishments. This category currently accounts for 20 percent of all the company’s care homes. The focus will be on four further care homes in North Rhine-Westphalia and, in particular, on the greater Düsseldorf area, where the clinic company has above-average purchasing power.”
